hi everybody,,magic is real,just believed that some weeks ago i guess,and the funny thing is i learnt it the hard way..i had been married for four years with two kids and thought everything in my marriage was perfect and extraordinary,my husband was the most loving and my whole family was happy until everything changed..don't know how or what happened but i guess i didn't believe it was my fault.he started hitting me and my kids,cheating and we started having dept cos he was gambling quite much and he had lost his job..A friend introduced me to some counselors and therapist but it didn't get well,it was getting worse so i decided to go the spiritual angle..After several attempts with different spell casters and magicians nothing happened.i met some people online who claimed to know someone who claimed to be able to help but it was all false,i lost a lot of money,was scammed several times and cheated on...i guess i was too desperate for a quick solution,but it all changed when i was introduced to a spell caster online,i thought he was going to be fake,maybe try to scam me again so i was prepared this time,i thought at least i could get him caught or something..but he wasn't what it thought he was,he did some spell which i used playing along,but he was right,he was true..everything stated ti9 turn around,my husband came home,he was changing and everything was going back to normal..and now after two weeks,everything is perfect and much more..my family is back,he has a new job,i do too..and we are happy as ever..i guess magic truly exist but in the right people with the right heart..magic is real and out there so is the person who saved my marriage,my family and i...

Howard was a good friend whom I met HERE.
Very knowledgeable and supportive to all who had a real interest in the Art and Practice of Magic, he was also a truly nice guy.

I'm finally back since my last visit, in which I apologize for my reeeeeally long absence. I barely passed my senior year of high school and squeezed everything in for college at last minute (Not a good idea at all), but everything is settled down now, so I'm looking forward to being more active here.
I am moving into my triple dorm room this Sunday morning at NHIA (New Hampshire Institute of Art) so I might not be able to be quite as active.

Anywhooo, I've been keeping in touch with Wolflock so practicing my effects and illusions hasn't been slipping at all. I'm working on a completely insane idea for an effect I haven't seen before, and any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If you want to jump in and add something, or use this idea, then by all means go for it.
I"m sure this effect might be out there somewhere.

Long story short, I want to do an effect using Water manipulation. But not just any kind of water manipulation, to be more specific I'd like to try a trick that involves levitating and controlling water between your hands, very similar to the levitating card trick that you spin and control it's levitation between your hands.
So far, all I've got for this effect is that I know water travels on any path it's given. Keeping it in a continuous path, and enough of it, is where I'm stumped.

Any help is more than welcome.

Anyways ....

About me - I am familiar with NLP and certified as a hypnotherapist with the NGH. My pet project has been taking that knowledge and applying it to magic and especially mentalism.

Even more so I found I have a serious creative bent and have been making my own magical props. Some of them, have turned out quite nice, but all of them have been a learning experience. I would have to say I am fairly new to magic, but am very creative in my approaches. For instance I made a burning bible that uses steel wool and a 9volt battery for the ignition system. I prefer my homemade thumb tip over a store bought one any day of the week.

I hope to be around for a little while at least. Hope this round goes better! LOL

I love this effect because I get the same satisfying reaction every time I perform it. But I want to make it bigger, better, and more mind blowing. My only problem is I'm stumped on what I can do to add onto the rick.
If anyone could help me out or provide suggestions it'd be very much appreciated.

Keep up the amazing work everyone. I'll be posting around more often now that I've got all of my college stuff settled.

Could someone please please answer this question for me asap? I just purchased LOOPS by Yigal Mesika which is basically thread-loop that is invisible where you move objects with it. It came with five Loops...the problem im having is when im using the loop I can't get it back onto the card without the loop curling into itself or snapping!!! Meaning how am i soposed to use the loop again when i finished with the trick? its so thin and nimble its impossible and just ends up snapping..

Hello everyone! I'm just introducing myself. I'm from Illinois. Glad to be here!

Just got word, via Facebook, that Karl Bravosky has died.
He had had a massive heart attack, recovered, but then was found home, dead, 10 days later.

He was known here under multiple alias'/account names, most notably Magicbulb and Oscar.
He was Tres-Magique at TheMagicCafe.

He produced some good commercial effects (which can be found in the US at Hank Lee's) and recently came out with his FLINK Key. [ He had posted some great parts photos here, but pulled them so he wouldn't have the product copied. ]
Karl had a busy career as a magician and mentalist in Morocco, northern Africa and Denmark.

Some of his posts here did not win him friends. He had an "interesting" sense of humor... at least I think he was being humorous sometimes!
He was actually a very strong supporter for Scott's idea of encouraging members here to really break out of their preconceptions that magic is "only" cards, or "only" mentalism, and wanted anyone with a real interest in Magic to get out there and perform. However nice it is to hang out in a forum and chat about effects, he knew that there is NO Magic unless you/me/we get out there and actually entertain an audience.

As a Super-Mod here, I was surprised to find him cheating in one of the competitions. He created a few "dummy" accounts, and cast a vote for EVERYBODY who had entered; he did not want anyone to feel unappreciated. And then he went and actually cast TWO votes for Magic Malachi! He really felt that the competitions were a great motivator for getting members here to actively participate.

And I will always remember him completely freaking Magic Malachi out in the chat room one day... basically asking him to think of a card, and then Karl named it. No pumping or fishing. BAM!
Come to think of it, it spooked me, too!
