Howard Liberman, a longtime Professional Magician, and one of the first members of this site as Closeup1, has died.
Howard was a good friend whom I met HERE.
Very knowledgeable and supportive to all who had a real interest in the Art and Practice of Magic, he was also a truly nice guy.

Just got word, via Facebook, that Karl Bravosky has died.
He had had a massive heart attack, recovered, but then was found home, dead, 10 days later.

He was known here under multiple alias'/account names, most notably Magicbulb and Oscar.
He was Tres-Magique at TheMagicCafe.

He produced some good commercial effects (which can be found in the US at Hank Lee's) and recently came out with his FLINK Key. [ He had posted some great parts photos here, but pulled them so he wouldn't have the product copied. ]
Karl had a busy career as a magician and mentalist in Morocco, northern Africa and Denmark.

Some of his posts here did not win him friends. He had an "interesting" sense of humor... at least I think he was being humorous sometimes!
He was actually a very strong supporter for Scott's idea of encouraging members here to really break out of their preconceptions that magic is "only" cards, or "only" mentalism, and wanted anyone with a real interest in Magic to get out there and perform. However nice it is to hang out in a forum and chat about effects, he knew that there is NO Magic unless you/me/we get out there and actually entertain an audience.

As a Super-Mod here, I was surprised to find him cheating in one of the competitions. He created a few "dummy" accounts, and cast a vote for EVERYBODY who had entered; he did not want anyone to feel unappreciated. And then he went and actually cast TWO votes for Magic Malachi! He really felt that the competitions were a great motivator for getting members here to actively participate.

And I will always remember him completely freaking Magic Malachi out in the chat room one day... basically asking him to think of a card, and then Karl named it. No pumping or fishing. BAM!
Come to think of it, it spooked me, too!
