Another well thought out post, Pinky. I am in agreement with the sentiment. We need to remember that a place like MPT is for the growth and refinement of our art. It is also to lift the Art to new heights. Many times there is no thought put into the meaning behind words, but of course most people today do not have the desire to learn what words mean. I myself am a literal person. I mean what I say and say what I mean, but I also take the time to choose my words according to their meaning. In this Facebook society we have today, it is all about 'how we feel' and the rest be damned.
Very similar to the IBM Ring that we once had here on Cape Cod. There were not many members that were interested in furthering the art. They could not take criticism and had no idea how to offer it in a constructive way. The club dissolved several years ago due to that fact. Those that could take and offer, well, we still get together because our interests are the same; furthering the art of magic and elevating to new heights.
I am glad that this board is more inclined to the same goals, than just a bunch of guys that want to hear 'atta-boys'

So let us get back to the magic! Onwards and upwards!
