Oooo.. .a gambling thread

I play quite a bit of hold 'em. Too much to be honest and always real card games. Can't get away with online games.

Do I cheat when I play? I really, really try not to cheat, but unfortunately I do... sometimes. That sometimes is normally when the opportunity arises which is mainly when I'm dealing.

If I'm to deal I will look for pick-up stacks and false shuffle to maintain top stock. A quick pass after the cut, and bang I'll get a good start hand. We do use burn cards so you have to think quick on your pick-up stack. This is the easiest way to cheat I've found so far.

I always do a bottom peek because it's so easy to do. Knowing just this one card gives you a massive advantage as you know it won't be in play (unless you bring it in play).

I'll occasionaly do a bottom deal but only one the second round of dealing (as most people will be looking at what cards they've been dealt and the heat is off your hands).

I sometimes do a pre-flop peek of the top two cards using the gamblers peek (base of the thumb method) as soon as I've dealt my last card and table the deck immediately. I need to see two cards as the first will be a burn card (and it won't be in play) and the second card will be the first flop card. If I can see more than two cards then all the better This gives you a huge advantage on pre-flop betting.

After that I rarely do anything cheating wise as the next cards are community cards and I'm not a big fan of holding out cards, although I did buy Ian Kendalls Mucking Hard Moves videos. I've practiced mucking, and I have to say I'm tempted.

I know it's immoral, but I really think almost everyone cheats at cards, at some point, to some degree. I just do it to slighlty more than others!

Do I use non sleight (magical?) cheats. I do those too, but probably not of interest on this site

Have I lost money cheating? Yes, because I've thought I've gotten the best hand, and guess what? I didn't

I've never tried to cheat when playing cards with friend. Since I'm a magician, each time we're playing a game as soon as I have something in my hands people start to make the usual joke about it, bla bla bla... It's really frustrating when you try to be clean because your really not cheating, then you win and people start... Your a magician, that's why, your cheating, i don't see it but I know you are, bla bla bla... I'm so fed up of the usual comment from layman... Can you make my mother in law disapear... Make me appear a million... People really like to dare you, like "hey your a magician? YES!! Make a rabbit appear!" They really think that a real magician can pop rabbit out of anywhere anytime lol Anyways I never had the guts to try the move I've practice, and I didn't put the time for the hard move because I'm a magician, not a poker cheater... I do respect that art tho, it's just crazy to my eye's lol
