You know you are an Escape Artist when...
You get cuffed my the cops and you are happy and smiling.
You have been in prison but never been arrested You OWN your own straitjacket You proudly Display your 100 piece handcuff collection. You have more rope and Chain than the local hardware store. You can mention handcuffs, tie me and Feel me and keep a straight face. Instead of a Bunch of keys, you carry a set of lock picking tools. Your friends lock their keys in the car and they call you instead of a locksmith. You know the precise weight of the chain and how far down underwater it will take you. You have been buried and you are still alive Every place you enter you find yourself looking for weak points to get out. You've forgotten which key fits which lock because you have never used the keys. You know the art of falling down and rolling better than a WWE Wrestler. You wear handcuffs as Jewelry and think it looks good. You've been bound, thrown into a box and dumped in a River and yet you have never even met anyone from the mafia. You classify your show as so dangerous that at any point, you may fail and die, but the Program states "2 Shows a day for 2 months". You have run out of ideas as to what you an escape from. Your entertainment progress can be calculated from the scars you have. Stuntman come to YOU for tips. You watch SAW and LAUGH YOUR ASS OFF!!!! |

I thought initially that the post was going to be another "you know you're a magician if..."and I am very pleased it wasn't and am still laughing at it even though I am no escape artist, LOL!!! I can't even single out one of the lines, I like them all
 Hilarious!! A few questions, could you really escape from police hand cuffs? plastic ones as well? Do handcuff vary greatly from nation to nation? If you learn to pick one handcuff can you pick all? |

Time for picking them differs greatly though due to some having weaker locking mechanisms than others. 5. Picking is not the only method for getting cuffs open. You an also shim. Shimming is the process by which you use a very thin plastic or metal to jam between the jaw locking mechanisms of the cuffs to stop them locking together thus just sliding the cuffs open. Quicker AND easier escapes but does not work on all cuffs. |
